The Goal
Forever SELF is a hypothetical organization designed to empower survivors by bringing together a wide range of resources for individuals who have experienced abuse. It serves as a supportive space where both kids and adults can begin their healing journey. This project had two main goals: first, to centralize access to helpful resources, and second, to raise awareness around these difficult but important topics.
The Exploration
This was my first full branding project, and one that’s deeply personal to me. The images shown are just a small sample of the many logo thumbnails I explored during the design process. I’m passionate about self-defense — especially for women — and standing up for those who have experienced abuse. With this project, I wanted to go above and beyond, creating multiple brand elements to tell a powerful story. My goal was to design something that not only represents the brand but also advocates for survivors and delivers a strong, meaningful message.
The Final Result
By the end of this project, I had created a full brand suite—including a logo, brochure, t-shirts, a donor gift, website, posters, social media ads, stationery, billboards, and a postcard. It was a huge learning experience. I gained insight into the many elements that go into building a cohesive brand, discovered how far I could push myself creatively and technically (at the time), and learned more about what it takes to support a mission-driven organization like this. This project was well worth all the ups and downs.
